League One roundup: Leyton Orient, Peterborough United maintain form

Kevin Lisbie is the hero as Leyton Orient extend their unbeaten streak to 11 matches in League One.

Leyton Orient were forced to recover from a goal down in order to extend their undefeated streak to 11 games, as Kevin Lisbie scored a 67th-minute winner in a 2-1 victory over MK Dons at Brisbane Road.

In-form Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford had fired the visitors into the lead on the half-hour mark, before Moses Odubajo levelled matters shortly before the interval.

Lisbie, who was a doubt to feature against the Dons, then linked up well with strike partner David Mooney to net the winner, which sees Russell Slade's men maintain their position at the summit of League One.

The East Londoners would be sitting on top of England's third tier with a three-point lead if not for the late intervention of Peterborough United striker Tyrone Barnett, who fired an 86th-minute winner as Posh secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Port Vale.

The victory, which was their first at Vale Park since 1981, sees Darren Ferguson's men shadow the high-flying O's by a single point at the top of the division.

Elsewhere, Swindon Town's rich vein of form in October continued, as Mark Cooper's men followed successive wins over Tranmere Rovers and Plymouth Argyle with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Rotherham United at the New York Stadium.

Alex Pritchard and Massimo Luongo fired the Robins into a 2-0 half-time lead, and Nicholas Ajose and Dany N'Guessan added gloss to the scoreline in the second period to propel the club to seventh in League One.

Elsewhere, Colchester United were denied their first victory since August by a 90th-minute equaliser from Walsall's Andy Taylor to earn a 1-1 draw away to the U's.

Meanwhile, Stevenage moved away from the relegation zone with a 2-1 victory over Brentford.

Graham Westley's men were forced to recover from a goal deficit in order to secure the win, as Clayton Donaldson's 13th-minute strike gave the Bee's an early advantage.

However, Francois Zoko provided a near-immediate riposte and the Ivorian struck again 11 minutes later to earn Boro their first victory since the second week of the campaign.

Results in full: Colchester United 1-1 Walsall, Leyton Orient 2-1 Mk Dons, Port Vale 0-1 Peterborough United, Preston North End 0-2 Crewe Alexandra, Rotherham United 0-4 Swindon Town, Shrewsbury Town 2-0 Gillingham, Stevenage 2-1 Brentford
