PFA: Leeds United players paid "proportion" of March wages

PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor reveals that the Leeds United players have agreed to defer a "proportion" of their wages for March.

Professional Footballers' Association chief executive Gordon Taylor has revealed that the Leeds United players have been paid a "proportion" of their wages for March.

Reports emerged this morning claiming that the squad had not been paid as expected this morning.

The issue is reportedly down to a dispute over who should cover the wages between current owners Gulf Finance House Capital and Italian businessman Massimo Cellino, whose bid to takeover was blocked by the Football League due to a guilty verdict regarding tax evasion.

According to Sky Sports News, Taylor has announced that the Leeds players have agreed to defer a proportion of their wages for this month.

The Championship outfit are currently 14th in the table.
