Preview: Inter Milan vs. Hellas Verona

Sports Mole previews Sunday's Serie A match between Inter Milan and Hellas Verona.

Only two points separate Inter Milan and Hellas Verona in the Serie A table as they prepare to go head to head at Stadio Meazza on Sunday.

The home side, who sit ninth in the standings, have been criticised for their displays in recent games following unconvincing wins over Cesena and Sampdoria.

They head into this weekend's encounter having suffered a 2-0 defeat to Parma in their last league outing, which has placed Walter Mazzarri's side four points adrift of the top three.

In Europe, Inter relinquished a one-goal lead to draw 1-1 with Saint-Etienne in the Europa League on Thursday, and they face a challenge against Verona, who have caused a few upsets of late.

Andrea Mandorlini's side managed to take a point from third-placed Lazio and Cesena, but have not won a league game since the first week of October following two defeats and two draws.

While Verona's Luca Toni has only scored two goals so far this season, the 37-year-old's performances have proved to be troublesome to opponents.

In the last three meetings between the two clubs, Inter have won all of them and only conceded in one, which resulted in a 4-2 triumph last season.

Mauro Icardi is likely to lead the line for the hosts, while Nene should be starting up top for the visitors.
