How Inter Milan could line up against Slavia Prague

Sports Mole looks at how Inter Milan could line up for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Slavia Prague.

Inter Milan travel to face Slavia Prague with their Champions League qualification hopes on the line.

Antonio Conte's side sit third in the group with just four points after four games and are three points behind second-placed Borussia Dortmund.

With Barcelona to come in their final game, three points against the side bottom of the standings look to be vital to avoid dropping into the Europa League.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Nerazzurri could line up for Wednesday's showdown.

Out: Alexis Sanchez (ankle), Nicolo Barella (knee), Kwadwo Asamoah (knee), Roberto Gagliardini (muscle), Matteo Politano (ankle), Stefano Sensi (muscle)

Conte must contend with a number of injuries to key players further forward in his squad, but, thankfully for the former Chelsea and Juventus boss, he is able to name his first-choice defence and goalkeeper.

Samir Handanovic will start between the sticks with a trio of Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij and Diego Godin most likely to line up ahead of him.

With Asamoah still out injured, Cristiano Biraghi should keep his place at left wing-back, while Antonio Candreva could come in as a more attacking alternative to Danilo D'Ambrosio on the opposite flank. The former has played in all four of Inter's Champions League games so far and could get the nod over his more defensive teammate.

In midfield, Barella's injury sees him join Gagliardini and Sensi on the sidelines, forcing Conte to turn to the rest of his squad. Marcelo Brozovic features in the first-choice trio in any case, but he will likely be flanked by Borja Valero and Matias Vecino in Prague.

Up front, however, the formidable partnership of Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku will be relied on to drag Inter to a crucial three points as they look to claw their way back into a qualification spot.
