Huddersfield are without on-loan strike pair Jermaine Beckford and James Vaughan for the visit of Bristol City.

On-loan duo Jermaine Beckford and James Vaughan have been ruled out of Huddersfield Town's match with Bristol City this afternoon.

Sean Scannell and Lee Novak are given the responsibility of replacing the absent strike pair, who have scored five goals between them this season.

Paul Dixon is handed his first start in a month at full-back, with Jack Hunt serving the first game of his two-match suspension.

The visiting Robins continue to have defensive problems with Lewis Carey and James Wilson sidelined, but Liam Fontaine has regained fitness to return at centre-back.

Midfield duo Steven Davies and Jody Morris are ruled out with muscle strains, while Brett Pitman is unavailable due to illness.

Huddersfield: Smithies; Dixon, Lynch, Clarke, Woods; Norwood, Southern, Clayton, Hammill; Novak, Scannell

Bristol City: Gerken, Foster, Fontaine, McManus, Briggs; Skuse, Elliott, Pearson, Adomah; Stead, Baldock
