Report: Everton close to signing Partizan Belgrade teenager Stefan Lukic

Everton agree a deal with Serbian outfit Partizan Belgrade to sign 18-year-old midfielder Stefan Lukic, according to reports.

Everton have agreed a deal with Partizan Belgrade to sign young midfielder Stefan Lukic, according to reports.

The 18-year-old is a hot prospect in the Serbian outfit's youth team, scoring six goals and providing over 20 assists in 14 games.

Lukic has claimed that he will spend time on loan at Eredivisie club Heerenveen in order to satisfy work permit conditions before linking up with the Toffees the following season.

The Liverpool Echo quotes him as saying: "[Everton] are after me for a long time. When they realized I was definitely what they want, they invited me.

"My agents are currently in England, details are now complete and it remains to be seen when I will sign the agreement.

"The goal is to be in the Netherlands and play better so after a year I've got a chance to wear the Everton jersey and play in the Premier League."

Everton are currently 12th in the Premier League table.
