Lewis Baker to spend season at Vitesse

Chelsea allow midfielder Lewis Baker to spend the whole of next season on loan at Eredivisie side Vitesse.

Chelsea midfielder Lewis Baker has been loaned out to Vitesse for the whole of next season.

The 20-year-old, who has made just one substitute appearance at Stamford Bridge, ended the last campaign at MK Dons, where he scored four times in 12 matches.

The England Under-20 skipper had been in contention for promotion to the first-team setup at the Premier League champions, but manager Jose Mourinho has decided to allow the player to spend a year in the Dutch top flight.

Josh McEachran and Bertrand Traore spent last season in the Netherlands with Vitesse, who finished in fifth place in the league standings.
