Team News: Alvaro Negredo returns for Manchester City

Alvaro Negredo returns to the Manchester City starting lineup for tonight's Premier League match against Chelsea, who make two changes to their side.

Alvaro Negredo has been restored to the Manchester City starting lineup for tonight's Premier League clash with Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.

Negredo comes in for the injured Sergio Aguero, as City look to maintain their 100% home league record this season and move back to the top of the table.

The Spanish striker is one of two changes from the side that thrashed Tottenham Hotspur in their last outing, with Matija Nastasic also coming in for Fernandinho and Martin Demichelis expected to play in midfield.

Chelsea also make two changes to the side that drew 0-0 with West Ham United on Wednesday as David Luiz and Nemanja Matic return to the side in place of John Obi Mikel and Oscar.

That means that Ashley Cole is once again left on the bench by manager Jose Mourinho, alongside new signing Mohamed Salah, while Samuel Eto'o continues up front on his own.

Manchester City: Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Kolarov; Navas, Demichelis, Toure, Silva; Dzeko, Negredo
