Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri says that he is satisfied with his side's goalless draw against West Ham United, despite seeing their perfect start to the season ended.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has insisted that he is satisfied with his side's goalless draw against West Ham United, despite seeing their perfect start to the season come to an end at the London Stadium.

The Blues dropped their first points of the campaign against their London rivals, with West Ham claiming their first home point and first clean sheet of the season.

The Hammers had lost their opening four games of the season prior to last weekend's win over Everton, but Sarri believes that they are a better team than their league position suggests.

"I knew West Ham were a very good team and I don't know why they lost their first four matches. They are really a very good team and they are now playing with confidence after they won at Everton last week," he told reporters.

"I think we have played well in the second half, but it's impossible to win every match and a point is OK today. We need to move the ball quicker and we need more movement without the ball.

"We are improving in the defensive phase, but we have to improve in the offensive phase, especially in this kind of match."

The draw leaves Chelsea third in the Premier League table, two points behind Liverpool.
