Team News: Jose Mourinho makes eight changes for Watford clash

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho rests many of his first-choice lineup for the visit of Watford in the FA Cup third round as he makes eight changes for the London derby.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has opted to make sweeping changes to his starting lineup for their FA Cup third round clash with Watford.

Gary Cahill, Cesar Azpilicueta and Oscar are the only players to be retained from the New Year's Day defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, with John Terry, Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazard being rested altogether.

Petr Cech starts in goal, Kurt Zouma partners Cahill in central defence, while Loic Remy and Didier Drogba feature in the absence of Diego Costa.

Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic, who is making his return to Stamford Bridge after a brief spell during his playing career, has recalled striker Troy Deeney to his team after he missed out against Cardiff City.

There is also a start for goalkeeper Jonathan Bond, who takes the place of first-choice Heurelho Gomes.

Chelsea: Cech; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Cahill, Filipe Luis; Ramires, Mikel; Remy, Oscar, Schurrle; Drogba
Subs: Courtois, Ivanovic, Ake, Matic, Willian, Salah, Diego Costa

Watford: Bond; Hoban, Cathcart, Angella; Paredes, Munari, Tozser, Forestieri, Pudil; Ighalo, Deeney
Subs: Doyley, Murray, Vydra, Abdi, Doherty, Smith, Gilmartin
