Kenwyne Jones wary of Swansea City backlash

Kenwyne Jones admits that Swansea City could respond strongly to the Michael Laudrup dismissal situation.

Cardiff City striker Kenwyne Jones has admitted that the drama this week surrounding Michael Laudrup's dismissal by Swansea City could see his side's Welsh rivals respond strongly in Saturday's clash between the teams.

The Bluebirds take on Swansea at the Liberty Stadium in Saturday's evening kickoff, and Jones said that both struggling teams will be desperate for the win.

"In a situation like that you have to be aware because it could be a case of a wounded animal - they are probably in disarray," BBC Sport quotes Jones as saying.

"Both teams have their separate situations and I do believe that we need the points more than them, so we have to go into the game trying to get those points and trying to play a proper game."

Jones joined Cardiff in January from Stoke City.
