Conference Premier roundup: Dartford hold Bristol Rovers

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday afternoon's action in the Conference Premier as Bristol Rovers are held to a disappointing 2-2 draw at Dartford.

Bristol Rovers closed the gap on Conference Premier leaders Barnet to seven points after securing a 2-2 draw away at Dartford.

However, Rovers would have been hopeful of a better result against the relegation candidates, having twice seen a one-goal advantage wiped out.

Ryan Hayes was the hero for Dartford, after he equalised goals from Matty Taylor and Ellis Harrison to earn his team a share of the spoils.

Forest Green Rovers strengthened their position in fifth after an early goal from Jon Parkin was enough to give them a 1-0 win over Nuneaton Town.

Woking made progress up the league standings with a 3-0 triumph over Alfreton Town, a result which ensures that no team in the relegation zone could record three points on Saturday afternoon.

Lincoln City and Gateshead have also made ground in the middle of the table after they recorded 1-0 victories over Dover Athletic and Southport respectively.

Wrexham and Torquay United played out a goalless draw, while Chester FC capitalised on Welling United having Jake Gallagher sent off to run out 3-1 victors.

Results in full: Dartford 2-2 Bristol Rovers, Forest Green Rovers 1-0 Nuneaton Town, Lincoln City 1-0 Dover Athletic, Southport 0-1 Gateshead, Welling United 1-3 Chester FC, Woking 3-0 Alfreton Town, Wrexham 0-0 Torquay United
