Barnsley boss David Flitcroft has reportedly agreed to remain at the club beyond this summer.

Barnsley manager David Flitcroft and his backroom staff have reportedly agreed to extend their contracts at the club.

The Tykes boss guided his team to Championship survival on the final day of the season with a 2-2 draw at Huddersfield Town.

Flitcroft's existing deal is due to expire this summer, but the Yorkshire club will soon make an announcement regarding his extended stay, according to Sky Sports News.

The 39-year-old took the reins at Oakwell last December on an interim basis following the sacking of Keith Hill, and was appointed as permanent boss after winning two out of his first three games in charge.
