Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Adama Traore brushes off speculation linking him with a move back to Barcelona following his Spain debut.

Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Adama Traore has played down speculation linking him with a move back to Barcelona.

The Spaniard enjoyed a breakthrough Premier League season during the 2019-20 campaign and has frequently been linked with a move to a Champions League club over the past few months.

Traore began his career at Barcelona before leaving for Aston Villa in 2015, but the 24-year-old has refused to comment on the rumours of a potential return to Catalonia.

Speaking to AS, Traore said: "It's not my decision whether I would suit Barcelona. My mentality is to work every day to be better."

Traore earned his first cap for the Spain national team off the bench in their friendly draw with Portugal in midweek, and the Wolves man will be eyeing his maiden start for Luis Enrique's side in the Nations League against either Switzerland or Ukraine.

Wolves are reportedly keen to tie the 24-year-old down to a new contract at Molineux, where he amassed four goals and nine assists in the 2019-20 Premier League season.
