Half-Time Report: Mario Pasalic fires AS Monaco ahead

AS Monaco lead Angers 1-0 at half time courtesy of Mario Pasalic's strike 35 minutes in.

A Mario Pasalic goal 10 minutes before half time has given AS Monaco a slender 1-0 lead over Angers at the break.

Billy Ketkeophomphone fired away the first shot of the contest, narrowly missing the target with his attempt from outside the box.

The Angers striker tried his luck once more soon after, this time testing Danijel Subasic with a rather tame effort.

It was then the home side's turn to assert some pressure, with Lacina Traore nearly stretching enough to tap home Pasalic's cross, but despite failing to do so Monaco were eventually rewarded moments later.

Pasalic this time took the chance on himself, converting from a couple of yards out after Joao Moutinho's free kick was headed back across goal and into the back-post area.
