Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez could reportedly move to Manchester City as early as this week.

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez could reportedly finalise a move to Premier League rivals Manchester City this week.

The Chile international came close to joining Pep Guardiola's team on deadline day in the summer, but a deal was never agreed.

Widespread reports have claimed that Sanchez, whose Arsenal contract expires at the end of the season, has set his heart on moving to City.

The North London outfit are understood to want around £40m for the attacker's signature, and the club are resigned to selling in this window rather than let him leave for nothing in the summer.

According to ESPN, an agreement between the two parties could be reached as early as this week, with Guardiola keen to bring in reinforcements due to Gabriel Jesus's injury, which could keep the forward sidelined for six weeks.

Sanchez has scored eight goals in 21 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners.
