Report: Arsenal, Chelsea target Abel Ruiz

A report claims that Barcelona's 16-year-old striker Abel Ruiz is a transfer target for Premier League duo Arsenal and Chelsea.

Arsenal and Chelsea will reportedly go head to head for the signature of Barcelona youngster Abel Ruiz.

The 16-year-old, who currently represents Spain's Under-17 team, has not yet signed a professional contract at Camp Nou.

According to a report in The Mirror, both Arsenal and Chelsea have had the teenager watched this season and have also held conversations with Ruiz's family over a move to England.

It is understood that Arsenal would be the slight favourites to sign the forward should he become available, with the club's scout Francis Cagigao well respected in the Spanish game.
