Bukayo Saka will reportedly earn close to £15m a year with his lucrative new Arsenal contract - equivalent to a weekly wage of £300,000.

Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka is reportedly set to earn £15m a year with a new long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium.

The 21-year-old has continued to go from strength to strength under Mikel Arteta and has been a driving force in the Gunners' Premier League title charge.

Saka scored twice and provided one assist in Arsenal's 4-1 thumping of Crystal Palace two weekends ago, becoming the first player in the current top-flight campaign to hit double figures in goals and assists.

The England international has posted 13 goals and 10 assists from 38 outings in all tournaments this term, as the Gunners sit eight points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table having played a game more.

Transferring his strong form onto the international stage, Saka was the man of the match in England's Euro 2024 qualifying win over Ukraine on Sunday, setting up Harry Kane's opener before curling home a delightful 20-yard effort in a 2-0 success.

Saka's contract situation has been a major talking point for the past several months, though, as he is currently due to become a free agent at the end of next season.

However, the attacker is now expected to sign a new long-term deal following a recent breakthrough in negotiations, and his renewal will unsurprisingly include a significant pay hike.

According to the Daily Mail, Saka will pocket nearly £15m per year when he puts pen to paper on a new deal, as Arsenal bump up his weekly wage to £300,000 a week, reflecting his status as one of the club's most integral players.

The £15m-a-year agreement is inclusive of bonuses and performance-related add-ons, which will make him one of the Gunners' highest earners of all time and their current highest-paid player.

Manchester City and Liverpool are both said to have been keeping a close eye on developments, and there were fears that Saka could have considered a departure if Arsenal failed to qualify for the Champions League again.

However, the Hale End graduate never gave any thought to leaving his boyhood club, and he is totally convinced that they are on the right path to success under Arteta.

Saka now boasts 36 goals and 39 assists in 169 games for Arsenal since graduating from their youth ranks, and he already has one FA Cup and Community Shield to his name in red and white.

The Englishman will follow Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes in agreeing new contracts with Arsenal this season, and the club are also working on renewals for William Saliba and Aaron Ramsdale.

Arsenal recently triggered a one-year extension in Saliba's contract to prevent him leaving as a free agent this summer, while Ramsdale is in line for a pay rise as he continues to impress in between the posts.

The Premier League leaders return to action after the international break with a home clash against relegation-threatened Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
