Wolverhampton Wanderers could reportedly be forced to sell forward Pedro Neto next summer amid interest from Arsenal.

Wolverhampton Wanderers could reportedly be forced to sell Pedro Neto during next summer's transfer window due to their financial problems.

The Portugal international has been in impressive form at club level during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring once and providing four assists in seven appearances in the Premier League.

Neto starred in Wolves' 2-1 win over Manchester City last weekend, with the attacker seemingly finding his best form after putting a number of injury problems behind him.

The 23-year-old moved to Molineux in 2019, and he has represented his current side on 118 occasions, scoring 12 goals and registering 17 assists in the process.

Neto has struggled with injury problems over the last couple of campaigns, but he has been a constant for Wolves in the Premier League this season.

Arsenal are long-term admirers of the Portuguese, with the Gunners consistently linked with his services over the last few years.

The Gunners are believed to be planning to make a move for the forward next year, but Wolves have him on a contract until the summer of 2027, as he penned a five-year deal in March 2022.

According to Football Insider, Neto is open to leaving his current side for Arsenal next year, and a move during next summer's transfer window is certainly possible.

The report claims that Wolves will resist any January interest, but Wolves' issues surrounding Financial Fair Play mean that a deal could be struck at the end of the campaign.

Wolves head coach Gary O'Neill recently lavished praise on the attacker's work ethic.

"I didn't see Pedro up close last season and he's suffered some injuries, but the upturn in his performances this season has been because he's fully committed to the work that we're doing," he told reporters.

"He's fully committed to how we're going to play and fully committed to how it's going to benefit him.

"He's attacked every training session with 100% commitment and you're starting to see the benefits. He will be hugely important for us, he's a fantastic player, hugely talented and he's working extremely hard without the ball as well as bringing big quality with it, so I'm really pleased with Pedro."

As well as Arsenal, Liverpool are said to be admirers of Neto, who started his professional career with Braga and also had a loan spell at Lazio ahead of his switch to the Premier League.
