Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang unhappy with Arsenal errors

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is frustrated with the manner in which his side blew their two-goal lead over Watford at Vicarage Road on Sunday.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has expressed his disappointment with the errors that saw Arsenal throw away a two-goal lead on Sunday.

The Gabon striker scored twice in the first half against bottom-of-the-league Watford, but individual mistakes from Sokratis Papastathopoulos and David Luiz, who conceded the second penalty of his short Arsenal career, saw the Gunners held to a frustrating 2-2 draw at Vicarage Road.

Aubameyang was reluctant to point the finger at his teammates but admitted he was frustrated with the manner in which the Gunners dropped two points from a winning position.

"I feel like we are literally giving goals to the opposition," Aubameyang told Canal Plus.

"It is up to us to progress. I don't want to accuse anyone, but you could say that us, the attackers, could have killed the game off and score a third goal so I am not going to say it is someone's fault.

"Obviously we didn't expect that. We knew that they were going to try and come back with good intentions, of the kind they demonstrated in the second half.

"Sadly, we were not able to deal with them well."

Aubameyang has already scored five Premier League goals this season, but the Gunners' failure to beat the Hornets saw them miss out on the opportunity to go into third place, level with reigning champions Manchester City in second.

Instead, they sit seventh on goal difference, level on points with Tottenham Hotspur in third.
