Eddie Nketiah, Rob Holding and Fabio Vieira are all on target to help Arsenal record a 3-0 home victory over Bodo/Glimt in Group A of the Europa League this evening.

Eddie Nketiah, Rob Holding and Fabio Vieira were all on target to help Arsenal record a 3-0 home victory over Bodo/Glimt in Group A of the Europa League this evening.

Nketiah netted his first goal of the season with a first-time finish midway through the opening period, before Holding added a second less than five minutes later with a close-range header.

Bodo/Glimt improved in the second half, but Vieira wrapped up the victory for the Gunners six minutes from time with a left-footed strike from inside the area.

The result sees Mikel Arteta's side claim their second successive Europa League win and return to the summit of Group A, two points clear of Bodo/Glimt in second place.

Arsenal have now also won nine of their opening 10 games to a season across all competitions for the just the third time in their history, having previously done so back in 1903-04 and 2007-08.

After securing an impressive 3-1 North London derby triumph over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, Arteta decided to ring the changes with eight fresh faces coming into the starting lineup.

Nevertheless, the Gunners had no problems finding their rhythm early on and their relentless pressure in the opening exchanges eventually paid off with Nketiah breaking the deadlock in the 23rd minute.

Kieran Tierney picked up the ball on the left and fired a powerful strike across the face of goal onto the post, with Nketiah reacting well to cushion the rebound in with a first-time shot.

The Gunners doubled their lead just four minutes later when Vieira curled a delightful cross into the danger zone for Holding to power a header home from around six yards out.

Granit Xhaka came close to adding a third in the 34th minute, but his thunderous strike on the edge of the area from a set-piece routine was well saved by goalkeeper Nikita Khaikin.

Arsenal continued to dominate proceedings in the second half, but Bodo/Glimt showed signs of improvement in the final third, with Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner forced to keep out a low-driven strike from Amahl Pellegrino just before the hour mark.

With the Norwegian side slowly growing into the game, Arteta decided to bring on Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard to freshen up his forward line, with the former in particular providing an effective spark of energy in the final third.

Indeed, Jesus had a major part to play in Arsenal's third goal on the night in the 84th minute, as the Brazilian wriggled his way beyond two defenders on the byline with fancy footwork before setting up Vieira to blast the ball into the roof of the net.

The Gunners, who have now won each of their last four games across all competitions, will turn their attention to Sunday's Premier League showdown at home against an out-of-sorts Liverpool side.

Elsewhere in Group A, PSV Eindhoven thrashed FC Zurich 5-1 in Switzerland, with Arsenal target Cody Gakpo scoring twice for the Dutch outfit.
