Preview: AC Milan vs. Cesena

Sports Mole previews the Serie A clash between AC Milan and Cesena at San Siro.

AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi finds himself under increasing pressure at the club after his side could only draw 1-1 with Empoli last weekend.

The Rossoneri's hierarchy have previously indicated that they have faith in the legendary striker, but their latest setback could force their hand should the team fail to defeat Cesena on Sunday afternoon.

Milan have only won one league game in eight - against bottom-placed side Parma - and they currently sit seven points behind the top five in the Serie A table.

Goalkeeper Diego Lopez misses the game through suspension after his red card last weekend so Christian Abbiati will start, but Alex could feature, despite undergoing surgery on a broken nose earlier this week.

However, Inzaghi could make several alterations as he searches for the formula to try to extend his stay in the dugout at a club where he spent over a decade as a player.

Cesena travel to San Siro on a high after they recorded a highly impressive 2-2 draw at home to leaders Juventus.

The Cavallucci Marini remain seven points from safety in the standings, but seven points from four games will give them plenty of belief heading into their encounter with the Italian giants.

Goals haven't been a problem for Domenico Di Carlo's outfit, with the side scoring in nine of their last 10 outings.

Barring any late fitness issues, Di Carlo could remain with the starting lineup that began the fixture with Juve.

AC Milan:

Form in Serie A: DLLWLD
Form in all competitions: LLLWLD

Possible starting lineup: Abbiati, Bocchetti, Paletta, Rami, Antonelli, Menez, De Jong, Poli, Bonaventura, Honda, Destro

Cesena:

Sports Mole says: 1-1
