Rafael Nadal has said that he is expecting a tough match when he meets Richard Gasquet in the semi-finals of the US Open.
The world number two booked his place in the last four with a straight-sets victory over Tommy Robredo on Thursday.
Gasquet required five sets to defeat David Ferrer in the quarter-finals, and Nadal has said that he expects the Frenchman to be confident ahead of their clash.
"I expect him to be very good," Clubcall.com quotes Nadal as saying. "He's playing a great tournament. Two great wins against Milos Raonic and now against David.
"It's great for his confidence. Five-set victories against tough opponents, that's brilliant for him. He will come to the match with good confidence."
Nadal will face Gasquet on Friday.
