Leeds Rhinos winger Ben Jones-Bishop will return to action tonight following months on the sidelines since suffering a blood clot on his lung.

Leeds Rhinos winger Ben Jones-Bishop has expressed his excitement at returning to the field following a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a blood clot on his lung.

The 24-year-old will play for the first time since December with a Super League clash against the Widnes Vikings at Headingley Carnegie.

"It was a big shock at the time," Jones-Bishope told Sky Sports News. "It was more to my general health rather than rugby, but I was looked after very well and the specialists went through things. Within a few days I knew I'd be out for a lengthy period of time. I knew I'd be back out one day.

"I'm excited now. I think a few hours before there will be a few nerves, but once you're over the white line and the whistle blows it's a game and I'm looking forward to it."

Jones-Bishop has been playing for the Rhinos since 2008.
