Jody Craddock offered new Wolves deal

Wolves defender Jody Craddock is offered a one year extension with the club.

Jody Craddock has been offered a new one year deal with Wolves, the club has confirmed.

The veteran defender, 35, regained his place in the first team towards the end of the season and played a part in keeping the club in the Premiership with a goal against former club Sunderland.

"We will be offering Jody a contract," manager Mick McCarthy said today. "Jody is proven at the top level. His experience was vital to us at the end of the season. He has been as good as anybody.

"Jody is remarkable and a fine example to everyone. He never asks for a day off, he's out playing head tennis before training and in doing his gym work. Everything about him is brilliant - his professionalism but he's also got that humility as everybody knows. I'm delighted we are offering him a deal."

Craddock previously said he was hoping to be offered a new contract. "I feel fit enough, strong enough and good enough to carry on," he told the Express & Star. "My movement is the best it's been for years."
