Team News: Bas Dost left on Wolfsburg bench

Dieter Hecking names Bas Dost on the Wolfsburg bench for the meeting with Borussia Dortmund.

Dieter Hecking has named top scorer Bas Dost on the Wolfsburg bench for the meeting with Borussia Dortmund.

Dost is unable to secure a place in the side for Hecking's 100th match in charge of the club as the hosts start with Max Kruse as the lone striker in front of Andre Schurrle, Julian Draxler and Daniel Caligiuri.

Timm Klose is drafted into the defence as a replacement for Dante, who misses out due to suspension.

Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel decides against handing a start to Shinji Kagawa as Gonzalo Castro keeps his place in attacking midfield alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marco Reus.

Illness prevents Tuchel from naming Mats Hummels, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Julian Weigl in the squad, and Neven Subotic is partnered with Matthias Ginter in central defence as a result.

Wolfsburg: Benaglio, Vieirinha, Klose, Naldo, Rodriguez, Guilavogui, Arnold, Caligiuri, Draxler, Schurrle, Kruse
Subs: Casteels, Bendtner, Schafer, Dost, Trasch, Jung, Knoche

Borussia Dortmund: Burki, Piszczek, Subotic, Ginter, Schmelzer, Gundogan, Bender, Mkhitaryan, Reus, Castro, Aubameyang
Subs: Weidenfeller, Park, Hofmann, Januzaj, Ramos, Kagawa, Stenzel
