Roberto Martinez "disappointed" with poor finishing

Roberto Martinez feels that his Wigan Athletic team should have scored more goals against Fulham this afternoon.

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez believes that his side created enough chances to win today's game against Fulham.

Franco di Santo's goal 20 minutes from time cancelled out Giorgos Karagounis's 22nd-minute strike to ensure a share of the spoils at Craven Cottage.

However, the Spanish tactician said that he was "disappointed" by his side's wasteful finishing.

"It's a decent point overall, but I'm sure we had the most of the threat and, with the amount of opportunities we had, I'm disappointed we could only get one goal," said Martinez.

Martinez praised the contribution of Spanish defender Ivan Ramis, who was stretchered off with a suspected knee injury late in the second half.

"I thought he was outstanding from the first minute until he had to come off," added the 39-year-old.

"We fear he has damaged his ligaments in his right knee. We will have to see the scan but I fear the worst."

The Latics lie just one place above the Premier League relegation zone.
