West Ham United winger Andriy Yarmolenko has reportedly donated £75,000 to Ukraine's Armed Forces, following Russia's invasion.

The 32-year-old has recently been given some time off by the Hammers and missed last weekend's 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, in which his teammates showed their support by wearing shirts with his name on the back during the warm-up.

Head coach David Moyes revealed to the press last week that Yarmolenko was 'not in a good place' and stated that it is a "really difficult time for him and his family."

Yarmolenko has since made a generous donation of three million Ukrainian hryvnia, equivalent to around £75,000, to Ukraine's Armed Forces in their fight against Russia, according to a post from Ukrainian Twitter page @ZoryaLondonsk, an account covering Ukrainian football in English.

The former Dynamo Kiev and Borussia Dortmund winger was born in Russia to Ukrainian parents before they decided to move back to their homeland when he was a child and settled in the city of Chernihiv.

Yarmolenko, who is believed to be earning around £115,000 per week at West Ham, is the third-most capped Ukrainian footballer of all time with 106 international appearances to his name.
