Steve Clarke names Peter Odemwingie on the West Brom bench for the Hawthorns clash against Sunderland, who hand a first start to January signing Danny Graham.

Peter Odemwingie has been included among the West Bromwich Albion substitutes for the visit of Sunderland this afternoon.

The Nigerian striker has not played for the Baggies since travelling, without permission, to Queens Park Rangers to attempt to complete a transfer deadline-day move which did not materialise.

Home boss Steve Clarke names his other two senior forwards, Romelu Lukaku and Shane Long, in his starting XI as he switches to a 4-4-2 formation.

Graham Dorrans is the man to make way for Lukaku, who came off the bench to score in the win over Liverpool, while Goran Popov continues to serve a three-match suspension.

Sunderland hand a first start to January signing Danny Graham, who partners Steven Fletcher up front as Martin O'Neill also names an attacking lineup.

Stephane Sessegnon will support the strike duo from a midfield which also includes a returning Sebastian Larsson, but Danny Rose and Lee Cattermole are missing with hamstring and knee problems respectively.

West Brom: Foster; Reid, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell; Morrison, Yacob, Mulumbu, Brunt; Lukaku, Long

Sunderland: Mignolet; Gardner, O'Shea, Bramble, Colback; N'Diaye, Larsson, Johnson, Sessegnon; Graham, Fletcher
