Troy Deeney: 'We want perfect September'

Watford striker Troy Deeney feels that his team can earn maximum points next weekend and finish with three wins out of three games in September.

Watford captain Troy Deeney has targeted a third win in a row next weekend to complete a perfect September for the club.

The Hornets picked up their first win of the season against Swansea City last Saturday and after their 2-1 victory at Newcastle United yesterday, Deeney admits that the club need to build on their current form.

The 27-year-old told the club's official website: "We targeted this as being a big month - there are teams in and around us that we are playing, teams like Swansea and Crystal Palace, who have high aspirations of pushing on.

"It's been a good month so far and if we can win all three, it will be a fantastic month.

"In the Premier League, it can easily change to losing five on the bounce, so we must be very careful that we approach the Crystal Palace game with a bit of caution and give them the respect they deserve."

Deeney has played in all of Watford's Premier League games this season but is yet to find the back of the net.
