Watford boss Quique Flores: 'We deserved to beat Newcastle United'

Quique Flores heaps praise on his Watford players following their 2-1 win at Newcastle United.

Watford manager Quique Flores has lavished praise on his players following their 2-1 victory at Newcastle United in the Premier League.

An Odion Ighalo double helped the Hornets to their second straight league win, and the Spaniard insists that it was no less than his side deserved.

"We deserved it because we played really well. We have a very positive mentality and we always think we can win games," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"I am really pleased we have so much confidence. We are building a new team but we are playing as if we have played together for a long time."

The win lifts Watford to ninth place in the table, while Newcastle are second from bottom with just two points.
