Report: Lee Cattermole to Stoke City off

Lee Cattermole will not leave Sunderland for Stoke City tonight, according to a report.

Sunderland midfielder Lee Cattermole will not join Stoke City, according to a report.

Sky Sports News claimed earlier this evening that a fee between the two clubs had been agreed, but it now reports that the move is off.

Black Cats manager Gus Poyet was spotted leaving the club's training ground in the last few minutes, having been at the Academy of Light all day.

Poyet confirmed during his press conference on Friday that Stoke had made a bid for the 25-year-old.

Cattermole joined Sunderland from Wigan Athletic in 2009.
