Mainz 05 beat Stuttgart from behind

Mainz 05 come from behind to take all three points against Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.

Mainz 05 have come from behind against Stuttgart to beat them 2-1 in their first game of the second half of the Bundesliga season.

The game came to life in the 11th minute when Vedad Ibisevic had a header saved, but his strike partner Mohammed Abdellaoue tapped in the rebound.

The visitors were mainly threatening from Shinji Okazaki's set pieces, but the Japanese attacker latched onto a pass from Christoph Moritz to level the score just before the break.

The game was becoming quite scrappy and there was a really good chance for Ibrahima Traore, but with just under 10 to play his effort was well saved.

Then came the winner inside the final five minutes. Benedikt Saller headed in a cross to send home the visiting fans delighted.
