Tottenham Hotspur still have hope of signing Turkish right-back Zeki Celik from Lille, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur have not given up hope of signing right-back Zeki Celik, according to a report.

The 24-year-old was a Ligue 1 title winner with Lille last season, which put him on the radar of some of Europe's best clubs.

Spurs were rumoured to be interested in taking Celik to North London, but eventually signed Emerson Royal to fill their right-back spot.

However, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Turkish international remains on the club's radar and they could make a move for him when the transfer window is open.

The report adds that Lille value Celik at €20m (£16.9m), but Spurs will face competition from Atletico Madrid and Fiorentina for his signature.

The 24-year-old moved to France from Istanbulspor in 2018 and has since made 114 appearances for Lille.
