Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly on red alert as Belgium boss Roberto Martinez is open to a return to the Premier League.

Belgium manager Roberto Martinez is reportedly open to taking the vacant manager's job at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 47-year-old has previously managed in the Premier League with Everton and Wigan Athletic, and he has overseen 42 wins from 54 games in charge of Belgium since 2018.

Martinez's contract with the Belgian national team is due to expire in the summer of 2022, but according to The Sun, he is open to departing in order to become Tottenham's new manager.

However, the report adds that Spurs will not be the only Premier League club hoping to secure Martinez's services if he does make a return to England's top flight.

Daniel Levy is on the lookout for a new leader at the club following the sacking of Jose Mourinho, with the club already losing out on Julian Nagelsmann and seemingly conceding defeat in their pursuits of Erik ten Hag and Brendan Rodgers.

Fulham manager and former Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker is also thought to have emerged as a candidate in recent days.
