Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas describes Gareth Bale as "world class" after the winger's performance in Spurs' 3-2 win over West Ham this evening.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has hailed Gareth Bale as "world class" after the Welsh winger inspired his side to a 3-2 win over West Ham United this evening.

Bale scored twice, with the second goal coming from 30 yards out in the 90th minute to hand Spurs all three points.

The match continued a phenomenal spell of form for the 23-year-old, and Villas-Boas has nothing but praise for him.

"Gareth Bale is unbelievable, a super talent. We have seen him at another level this season he makes the difference in every single game. Jussi Jaaskelainen was man of the match. Bale is world class. Players like this assume responsibility at key moments, he is tremendous," said Villas-Boas.

"He is enjoying his football, when you see him joyful on the pitch he gives you rewards. Bale was tremendous. He's starting to get a liking for scoring late goals. The player continues to make the difference and he was tremendous once again.

"He inspires people and he is a direct influence on every single player. Firstly we get the boost of confidence from being third and moving nine points clear of Everton and, hopefully, we'll try to get a chance against Arsenal to increase the distance even further."

The goals were Bale's 14th and 15th of the season and lift Spurs up to third in the Premier League table.
