Rudi Garcia: 'Roma must bounce back after Barcelona thrashing'

Rudi Garcia urges that his side must bounce back from the 6-1 thrashing to Barcelona in midweek when they play Atalanta on Sunday.

Rudi Garcia has said that his players must bounce back from the 6-1 thrashing they endured at the hands of Barcelona in midweek.

Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi both bagged a brace in the emphatic victory on Tuesday night, as Edin Dzeko only managed to score his side's goal in the final minutes.

Garcia is insisting that his team must now put the result to the back of their minds and show their true quality when they face Atalanta on Sunday.

"We have to win before looking at what the other results are. We have to make the most of this opportunity, we are angry and need to prove ourselves," Garcia told reporters.

"Above all we want to continue our strong Serie A campaign. I said after the [Barcelona] game we played perhaps the best team in the world right now. There's no point going back over that match now.

"There were many fans in Barcelona who were just as disappointed as us, but I look forward and tomorrow we'll be stronger with the fans supporting the side."

Roma are three points off the top in fourth place.
