Gareth Bale is not included in the Real Madrid squad for Saturday's La Liga meeting with Sevilla at the Bernabeu due to injury.

Gareth Bale has not been included in the Real Madrid squad for Saturday's La Liga meeting with Sevilla.

The Welshman continues to recover from a calf injury and, although he took part in training on Friday, the weekend's match has come too soon for him.

In addition Sergio Ramos, Casemiro and Dani Carvajal are all suspended for Zinedine Zidane's side this afternoon, while Raphael Varane is injured.

Achraf Hakimi is given a spot at right-back, and Jesus Vallejo is fit to start alongside Nacho at centre-back.

In attack, Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez are drafted in as Isco is named on the bench.

For Sevilla, Jesus Navas, Nolito and Luis Muriel all come into the team, which means that Wissam Ben Yedder has to make do with a place on the bench.

Goalkeeper Sergio Rico is also given the nod between the sticks over David Soria, while Lionel Carole is preferred to Johannes Geis at the back.

Steven N'Zonzi, who continues to be linked with a return to the Premier League, is not in the matchday squad.
