How Real Madrid could line up against Mallorca

Sports Mole looks at how Real Madrid could line up for Wednesday's La Liga encounter against Mallorca.

Real Madrid play host to Mallorca on Wednesday evening having recorded three successive victories in La Liga, a run which has moved Los Blancos to the top of the table.

Having witnessed Barcelona only draw with Sevilla on Friday night, Real were able to edge out Real Sociedad by a 2-1 scoreline on Sunday evening to move ahead of their rivals due to their head-to-head record.

However, with the games continuing to come every few days, Zinedine Zidane must consider whether to make changes to his team for the visit of their relegation-threatened opponents.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how Real could line up for the clash at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium on Wednesday evening.

With Zidane almost certainly not prepared to take any risks on Sergio Ramos's knee injury, Eder Militao should be handed a place in the middle of the backline.

A further alternation will be made in midfield, with Luka Modric coming into the team to replace the suspended Casemiro.

Zidane must decide whether he is prepared to recall Gareth Bale, potentially as a replacement for Karim Benzema who has played all but 12 minutes of the last three matches.

Despite Vinicius Junior impressing against Sociedad, the Brazilian could also drop out of the team to allow for the return of Eden Hazard, an unused substitute in that fixture.

With Isco and Lucas Vazquez remaining out of contention, the same thinking could apply when it comes to Rodrygo taking the place of James Rodriguez on the right flank.

While Ferland Mendy is an option at left-back, Zidane may be wary of making too many changes when his team have put together a 100% record over the past three outings.
