Team News: Reading make four changes for Brentford test

Steve Clarke makes four changes to his Reading side as they prepare to welcome a Brentford team needing a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Reading manager Steve Clarke has shuffled his pack for the visit of Reading, with Alex Pearce, Oliver Norwood, Danny Williams and Hal Robson-Kanu all coming into the side.

Jem Karacan, Jake Cooper, Nathan Ake and Nick Blackman are the four that make way, while Pavel Pogrebnyak is still carrying a knock from the FA Cup semi-final defeat.

Brentford are without on-loan Everton youngster Chris Long, who has a knee injury, while Lewis Macleod is not yet ready to return from his hamstring problem.

Mark Warburton is also without forward Scott Hogan for the must-win encounter.

Reading: Federici; Gunter, Pearce, Hector, Obita; Chalobah, Norwood, Williams; McCleary, Mackie, Robson-Kanu.

Brentford: Button; Odubajo, Dean, Tarkowski, Bidwell; Jota, Douglas, Diagouraga, Judge, Pritchard; Gray.
