Preview: Rangers vs. Hearts

Sports Mole looks ahead to the upcoming clash between Rangers and Hearts in the Scottish Championship.

Rangers have the chance to make up some ground on Scottish Championship leaders Hearts on Friday when the teams meet at Ibrox Stadium.

Hearts currently sit 13 points ahead of the second-placed Gers in the table thanks to an unbeaten start to their campaign.

Robbie Neilson's side make the trip to Glasgow having won eight of their previous nine matches in the league. They have also beaten Rangers twice already this term.

One of their victories over the Gers came on the opening day of the season as a late goal from Osman Sow gave them a dramatic 2-1 triumph at Ibrox.

Amid continuing turmoil behind the scenes, the hosts are in need of the points after losing two of their last five games. However, a win on Friday could offer them renewed hope heading into the final few months of the campaign.

Osman Sow and Dale Carrick are both available for the visitors after overcoming injuries, while Rangers have no fresh fitness problems ahead of the encounter.
