Nathan Redmond: 'I never considered Norwich City exit'

Nathan Redmond stresses that he never considered leaving Championship side Norwich City during the summer, despite reported Premier League interest.

Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond has insisted that he "always wanted to stay" at the club.

Following Norwich's relegation to the Championship last season, the former Birmingham City player was linked with the likes of Stoke City and Southampton throughout the summer.

However, he remained at Carrow Road, which the 20-year-old has claimed was always his intention.

"I am no stranger to that type of pressure because I have had at Birmingham and dealt with it in the past," the England Under-21 international told the Eastern Daily Press.

"For me I always wanted to stay here but being a young lad it was tough seeing a lot of stuff going on around my name."

Redmond has not scored in any of his 16 appearances this season.
