Graham Dorrans: 'Norwich City lacked intensity in Southampton defeat'

Norwich City midfielder Graham Dorrans concedes that he and his teammates were disappointed with the intensity of their display in their loss to Southampton.

Norwich City midfielder Graham Dorrans has admitted that his side were disappointed with the level of their intensity in their 3-0 loss to Southampton.

The Canaries fell to their first away defeat under the tenure of Alex Neil as a brace from Dusan Tadic and a strike from Graziano Pelle fired the Saints to the victory after Steven Whittaker saw red for two bookable offences.

Dorrans told the club's official website: "We didn't start with the intensity we've shown in recent matches, and we paid the price.

"Even before we went down to 10 men I didn't feel we were playing that well. We weren't on it today, which was disappointing.

"At this level you get punished for that. We've got a break next week then we'll make sure we put it right in the next game."

Norwich are 14th in the Premier League after four matches this season.
