Moussa Sissoko pleased with Newcastle United additions

Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko admits that he is pleased with the quality of the new signings that the club have made over the summer.

Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko has revealed that he is delighted with the club's activity in the transfer market this summer.

The Magpies have signed Siem de Jong, Emmanuel Riviere, Jack Colback, Ayoze Perez, Remy Cabella and Daryl Janmaat already this window as they look to improve on their 10th-place finish from last season.

Sissoko told the club's official website: "The squad here is different but I am happy with it. The club has brought some new players and we will all work together to do the best for the new season.

"I played with Manu in France, at Toulouse, and with Remy in the national team. These are two good players who will do well at Newcastle in the Premier League.

"It is a very different league to France but they have the talent to do well here, and you will see that soon."

Alan Pardew's side slipped to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Malaga in their latest pre-season clash.
