MK Dons have slipped to a surprise 1-0 defeat against Brackley Town in a pre-season friendly.

A triallist for the Dons went close on 16 minutes when he fired just over the bar 25 yards before Steve Diggin stabbed wide for the home side.

Tom Hitchcock almost connected with Sam Nombe's cross just before the break as Karl Robinson's men pressed for the opener.

However, Brackley took the lead on the hour mark when Diggin latched on to a lofted pass before drilling home a half-volley.
