Antonio Valencia could reportedly be offered a Premier League lifeline by West Ham United when his Manchester United contract expires next summer.

West Ham United are reportedly ready to pounce for long-serving Manchester United star Antonio Valencia when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The 33-year-old is due to become a free agent next summer, and no plans are currently in place to award him a new deal.

Valencia, who is approaching a full decade at Old Trafford, has been linked with a move abroad and is free to speak to foreign clubs from January.

West Ham are also in the market for a new right-back, however, with Pablo Zabaleta considering his future, and The Sun claims that they could make a move in six months' time.

A United source is quoted as saying: "The club are still deciding what to do with Antonio and his future. He has played a few times this season, but has struggled with injuries and his form hasn't been great.

"Him and Jose [Mourinho] haven't seen eye-to-eye at times this season and it might be the end for him here, but we will see."

Valencia has spent a total of 12 years in English football, having also represented Wigan Athletic between 2006 and 2009.
