Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants to bring Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti to Stamford Bridge, according to a report.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly determined to bring Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti to Stamford Bridge during this summer's transfer window.

Verratti has made almost 350 appearances for PSG since arriving from Pescara in 2012, while he still has more than three years left to run on his contract with the French champions.

However, according to 90min, Tuchel has identified the Italy international as a leading transfer target, with the Blues manager informing the hierarchy at Stamford Bridge that he wants the midfielder to be signed.

Verratti played under the now Chelsea boss in the French capital, and the report claims that the midfielder would be open to a move to the Premier League in the near future.

The 28-year-old, who has also previously been linked with Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City, has provided six assists in 31 appearances at club level this season.

The Italian has won seven Ligue 1 titles during his time at Parc des Princes.
