Manchester United midfielder Marcel Sabitzer, on loan from Bayern Munich, is reportedly attracting interest from several other Premier League clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

Manchester United midfielder Marcel Sabitzer, on loan from Bayern Munich, has reportedly attracted interest from several other Premier League clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old joined the Red Devils in January on a temporary deal until the end of the season after failing to nail down a regular starting place at the Allianz Arena.

Sabitzer was identified as a transfer target by head coach Erik ten Hag following the long-term injury sustained to Christian Eriksen, who is now closing in on a return to full fitness.

The Austria international has since made a total of 11 appearances for Man United across all competitions, including five Premier League starts.

Sabitzer's scored his first and only goal to date in a 3-1 FA Cup fifth-round victory over West Ham United in March, while he provided an assist for Marcus Rashford to score the only goal in a 1-0 win against Brentford in the Premier League on Wednesday.

A recent report claims that Man United will be able to recruit Sabitzer on a permanent basis in the summer, with Bayern valuing the midfielder at around £16m.

However, Sky Sports Deutschland reporter Florian Plettenberg states that 'many Premier League clubs' have enquired about Sabitzer ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

Plettenberg adds that 'decisive talks' over Sabitzer's future are set to take place in the coming weeks, with United still in a strong position to sign the midfielder as he feels 'comfortable' at Old Trafford.

Italian giants Juventus are another team who have been linked with the former RB Leipzig man, while the prospect of returning to Bayern to work under new head coach Thomas Tuchel has also been mooted.

Last month, Sabitzer suggested that he will decide his future in the summer, telling reporters: "Whatever happens in the summer, we will see.

"I had to make a quick decision in January. I was focused on this, it was clear it is just a loan until the summer. I take every game as it comes. I'm very happy to be here. I will give 100%.

"I am very happy to be part of this team, this amazing club, and I feel very welcomed. I am very happy at the moment."

Sabitzer will be hoping to keep his place in Ten Hag's starting lineup for Man United's Premier League encounter against Everton at Old Trafford on Saturday.
