Real Madrid 'hopeful Zinedine Zidane will revive Isco career'

A report claims that Isco will not be sold by Real Madrid at the end of the season as president Florentino Perez is confident that he will return to his best form.

Real Madrid chiefs are reportedly hopeful that Zinedine Zidane's return to the Bernabeu dugout will revive Isco's flagging career.

Despite playing a key role during Zidane's first spell in charge, Isco has since faded out of the picture after being regularly overlooked by former manager Santiago Solari.

The Spanish playmaker is rumoured to have been targeted by Premier League pair Liverpool and Manchester United after starting just three matches for Real since the end of October.

Marca claims that Real president Florentino Perez still has faith in Isco, however, and he believes that Zidane's reappointment will see a return to his performances of old.

The report also indicates that Zidane was brought back on board for exactly that reason, while also getting the best out of Casemiro, Toni Kroos, Marco Asensio, Marcelo and Raphael Varane, who have all stagnated somewhat in the 10 months the 46-year-old has been away.

Meanwhile, Gareth Bale's agent has revealed that the forward intends to stay put in the Spanish capital for the rest of his career.
