Manchester United hold an emergency board meeting to discuss sacking Ole Gunnar as head coach, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly holding an emergency board meeting, with the club considering sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as head coach following Saturday's 4-1 loss at Watford.

The Red Devils have continued to back the Norwegian amid a difficult run, but the team's poor run of form worsened on Saturday when they were heavily beaten at Vicarage Road.

According to The Times, the 20-time English champions are currently holding a board meeting, where Solskjaer's future as the manager is being discussed.

The report claims that the club are 'seriously considering' sacking the treble-winning striker, with the Glazer family set to take action in a bid to halt the team's slide down the table.

Leicester City's Brendan Rodgers continues to be heavily linked with the position at Old Trafford, while Spain's Luis Enrique is thought to be admired by senior figures at the club.

However, former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is seemingly emerging as the leading candidate to replace Solskjaer at the helm.
